I am Jonathan Stein, and I am currently a full-time student pursuing a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida. I also am a stay-at-home Dad (the most difficult but satisfying job ever), and my third job is First Class Petty Officer (IT1) in the United States Navy Reserve.
In April 2012, I plan to graduate with an MBA from the University of Central Florida. I have a keen interest in managing information technology for business. My goal is to leverage my extensive IT experience and business management skills in order to make smart decisions in designing, developing, and deploying cost-effective computer and software systems.
I believe that Information Technology has a strong future in Orlando, and I am excited about becoming engaged in its development. The Orlando area is shaping into a technology center unlike any outside of Silicon Valley. It is the worldwide center for simulation research and development at UCF's Research Park, and with the medical city under construction at Lake Nona, healthcare informatics will require robust and secure implementations of medical information systems in order to bring together patients, medical specialists, and resources from around the world. Additionally, Orlando's strong entertainment and tourism market continues to require new and innovative technologies, as entertainment companies and theme parks look to interactively engage audiences in today's connected-mobility environment, capitalizing on a seemingly endless stream of data.
